BMW M Town: On Ice

In weeks 5 and 6 we are once again running our popular advanced driving technique course, which gives you valuable practice driving on snow and ice. As a participant you will take part in an instructive, sociable and entertaining event. Under expert guidance from our instructors, you will get behind the wheel of a range of BMW models, get up close to the cars' dynamic abilities and feel the pure joy of driving.

The event runs over two days, with up to 30 participants. We split the participants into 6 groups that rotate between the different exercises throughout the day.

On the glare ice at Tisleia and the winter roads of Golsfjellet, we have put together these driving experiences for 2023:

Brake away:

Feel the forces of a powerful 625 hp V8 as you accelerate, brake and carry out avoidance manoeuvres in cars such as the BMW M5 Competition and BMW X5 M Competition.

Boost:

Behind the wheel of the BMW i4 M50, you are challenged to master 544 electric horsepower through technical corners and sections.

Shake down:

With an expert instructor in the passenger seat, you are guided round a fast and technically demanding course at the wheel of a BMW M240i xDrive, with 374 hp at your disposal.

Drift happens:

After a few technical exercises in cars such as the BMW M340i xDrive Touring with 374 hp, it is your job to keep the car under control, lap after lap, drifting around the circular track.

Electric avenue:

The brand-new BMW i7 xDrive60 is electric travel in first class. You get to experience the car's luxury and comfort on the winter roads around Golsfjellet.

Taxi, Taxi:

From the passenger seat, you experience ice dancing at its finest as one of our instructors takes you for a few laps on the ice in a BMW M3 Competition/BMW M4 Competition with 510 hp under the bonnet.

All exercises are carried out under the guidance of our instructors. They are here for you, so that you get the most out of your days with us. In several of the exercises you will share a car with another participant.

As well as the cars you meet in the exercises, a couple of exciting new models and other cars will be on display.

16:30 Wrap-up and departure

Note: the EV chargers at Golsfjellet Fjellstue will be reserved for the electric cars used during the event. There is plenty of rapid and fast charging capacity around Gol.

NOTE: THE ARRIVAL DAY IS SHOWN IN THE OPTIONS BELOW. THE DRIVING DAYS ARE SATURDAY 4 FEBRUARY AND SATURDAY 11 FEBRUARY RESPECTIVELY
